Best Easter Ever!
Can you believe that Easter is already here?
When I decided to write a blog about one of my favorite Easter, I didn’t have to think twice about it. It was April 2019 when I was working as a Project Manager at Community Hospice & Palliative Care in Jacksonville, Florida which by the way, was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I will save more of my wonderful memories of working at this incredible organization for a future blog.
One of my stakeholders at Community Hospice & Palliative Care was Community PedsCare which is a program for children with complex, chronic, life-limiting, or advanced illnesses. One of the many events held for these children is the Annual Easter Egg Hunt and I had the honor of being the Easter Bunny. Over a hundred children sat on my lap to take photos.
During the photo session, a little boy hugged me and felt the skin from the back of my neck. “You’re NOT the Easter Bunny! You’re a human!”, shouted the young man. I couldn’t say anything to stop the little guy because Easter Bunnies are supposed to be silent. Other than being called out by a young Sherlock Holmes and being extremely hot in the bunny costume, the Easter event was a huge success!
(Not only did I have the honor of being the Easter Bunny, but I also had the pleasure of playing the Rocket Man for the Community PedsCare and Dreams Come True Lawn Parties.)
So as you can see – one of my favorite Easters took place at one of my favorite jobs!
