I’m so honored that you’ve stopped by my new Best of Luck Homegrown Comedies website! I’ve been dreaming of having my own website for quite some time.
First, I wish to tell you how the name of my company came to be. While in the swimming pool at my sister’s house, my niece, Rowan Luck McConville, came up with “Best of Luck." She felt that this title would be perfect because it’s a combination of all my creative projects leading to my goal in life which is, laughter. Making people laugh is truly my purpose in this insane world we live in.
Believe me, pursuing your dreams comes with a healthy dose of rejection, especially when you’re a comedy writer. After completing several scripts and novels, I know this better than anyone. Non-acceptance has not and will not ever stop me from owning my creativity and should never stop you from owning yours.
The main question I’m asked about my books and films is, “How much money are you making from your creations?” and I must admit this question becomes a little aggravating at times. My response is always, “I can’t predict the financial outcome of my imaginativeness – all I know is that my projects are my babies and my passion and whether print or film, no one can ever take them away from me.” This being said, it still would be nice to receive a return on my creativity. (Ha! Ha!)
