Between the awards, nominations, the Madrids, Jenn Weeks, and the extraordinary films created by Jacksonville's Best, I can honestly say the 7th Annual LOL JAX Film Festival was a celebration that I'll never forget!

I understand how people can become addicted to drugs and gambling because all it took was that first email that read: “Congratulations David! Your film has been selected for our festival!”

Back in 2019 when I was living in Jacksonville, Florida, I wrote a script based on the TV personality, Norman Korpi’s invention, The A-STAND which is a portable tray to hold up a laptop. I felt having a reality star promoting his creation in a therapy session with other celebrities would make an interesting short film.

I remain humbled and elated to play even a small part in helping to showcase the incredibly talented people who have played major roles in both my projects and my life. My dreams, plans, and scripts wouldn’t be a reality without those who give of themselves working tirelessly in the pursuit of hilarity.

June is PRIDE Month and it’s very important to me to recognize my friends who are members of the LGBTQIA+ community. These 3 gifted artists have played a huge part in my journey to bring happiness and laughter to our universe.
